This is where I will post stuff about the former Northwestern Steel & Wire Co. After working there for about 15 years I can’t just let those memories die. After NWSW closed, in 2001, I create the Unofficial Website for Laid-off-workers from Northwestern Steel & Wire as a place for all of us to share stories and other information. This site wan not very elaborate and was hosted by Geocities. A few years ago Yahoo purchased Geocities and pulled the plug on the free sites so that. The registered this domain name a few years ago but haven’t done much with the site. I hope to slowly ad content to this site for those who are looking for information about the former mill can find it.
